Hi I’m Mira, the second half to this blog, I hope you guys stick around and enjoy the world of bath bombs!
If you’re anything like me, you love baths, for me a bath is a sensation that calms me down after a long day at work, a rough day or just because I want some “me” time. My bathtub is a realm where I can relax and let the minutes pass to hours as I clear my mind of any negative thoughts that have been running through my head recently, a coping mechanism almost.
Which brings me to why I love bath bombs so much, the combination of a colourful show and wonderful smell as the bath bomb diffuses into the water does the job of calming me down and uplifting my mood nicely, henceforth for my first review I will be reviewing one of my favourite bath bombs of all time, the “Intergalactic” bath bomb from Lush.
As soon as you drop this bad boy into the tub, the strong neon colours captivate you, an ornate mix of yellow, purple, pink and blue take over and eventually blend together to form a beautiful shade of blue laced with fine gold glitter. Whilst all of this is going on, you’re being cleansed by the purifyingly strong smell of peppermint. A objective drawback to this bath bomb is the amount of glitter that resides in your body after you leave the tub, this can be overwhelming to some people especially if you have work the next day and your colleagues constantly inquire about why you look like a golden disco ball (yes this happened to me).
As I lay in the bath and let the bath bomb do its work, I come to terms with my feelings and I get a sudden sense of internal rejuvenation, as if I’m an old wilted flower that has gone for a swim in the fountain of youth and come out as a beautiful blossomed rose.
Overall I’d give this bath bomb a 8.5/10, would be a perfect 10 if the concentration of glitter wasn’t so high.
